BirdDog has been in business for 11 years and we currently employ over 200 people. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a highly visible position in the company and work on all aspects of our business as well as utilize your diverse set of programming and IT skills. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- We are looking for someone with a diverse set of skills that can run every facet of our IT systems. This is a hands-on position that would handle programming of new systems and solutions, updating current system and solutions, program analysis and design, troubleshooting, server management and database management. This person should be an ‘A’ player, central part of our IT department, idea person, problem solver and have a great imagination.
- The ideal candidate will collaborate with our Client Services team and top executives in the company. This is a very functional and dynamic position so the skills and qualifications listed below are key. Although we are a large employer, the work environment is much like a small business. We have offices in Arlington Heights, IL or Houston, TX. There is also opportunity to work from home after an initial training period.

Qualifications:
- Seeking ‘A’ player IT skills, ideas and imagination
- 3+ years of programming experience is required
- Solid Experience in the following is required: .Net 2012 programming in Visual Basic.Net in a web development environment.
- Solid Experience in SQL Server 2008 T-SQL is helpful.
- Experience in HTML 5, CSS, and Javascript is helpful.
- Experience in JQuery, JSON is helpful
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s a plus
